The Dublin Cycling Campaign is an independent, voluntary lobby group that has been working to improve the city for all cyclists for over a decade and a half.
Dublin City Council Cycle Forum
The Dublin City Cycle Forum is a committee directing the cycling agenda for Dublin City Council. Technically it is a subset of the Transport SPC. Derek Peppard and Robert Fitzsimons sit on this committee on behalf of the Dublin Cycling Campaign. It meets monthly.
The Cycle Forum has more influence since the Cycling Officer Ciaran Fallon joined in Jan 09. It is chaired by councillor Andrew Montague, a strong advocate for the promotion of cycling.
Many cycling initiatives and projects are discussed at this forum.
The next meeting will focus on applying the excellent, pro-cycling "National Cycling Policy Framework" document to advance the promotion of cycling in Dublin.
