London Cycling Campaign
The London Cycling Campaign is naturally a much bigger organisation with more resources than any of the Irish groups but they face many of the same problems and share the same aims.

Cycle Campaign Network
The Cycle Campaign Network is the national federation of cycle campaign groups in the UK.

European Cyclists Federation
The European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) is pledged to ensure that bicycle use achieves its fullest potential so as to bring about sustainable mobility and public well-being.

The League of American Bicyclists
The League of American Bicyclists was founded in 1880 as the League of American Wheelmen. It promotes cycling for fun, fitness and transportation, and work through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America. Membership includes 35,000 individuals, 455 cycling clubs, and 50 state and local advocacy organizations.

Danish Cyclist Federation
The Danish Cyclists Federation is a NGO devoted to promoting bicycling as means of transportation ad recreation. With approximately 40 local branches throughout Denmark and a membership of 20,000 it is firmly rooted in society.

 

Other International Cycling Sites

Sustrans
Sustrans, UK charity co-ordinating the UK National Cycle Network and Safe Routes to Schools. Also involved in setting up the 'Kingfisher Trail'. This is a 368 kilometre cycle trail through counties Fermanagh, Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan.

Car Busters - World Carfree Network
Car Busters is the centre for the global car-free network. At their headquarters in Prague, they produce a quarterly magazine, facilitate and work on projects to promote walking, cycling, and public transport.

World Car Free Days Collaborative
A Car Free Day - a day without cars that is not only a pleasant civic event in and for itself, but also a potentially instructive one at a time when many places are looking for ways out of the cities/cars impasse.

Ken Kifer's Bike Pages
Articles on bicycle camping (bikepacking) and touring, cycling health and fitness, bicycle safety in traffic, and bicycling advocacy, plus travelogues from ten bike trips, cycling humor, and cycling links. Tragically, Ken Kifer was killed by a drunk driver in September 2003.

Cycling Ireland
This is the official website for Cycling Ireland, the governing body of cycling for Ireland, formerly called the Irish Cycling Federation (and previous to that known as the Federation of Irish Cyclists). They cater for all aspects of the sport. i.e. Road Racing, Leisure, Track, MTB Cross Country and Downhill.
